Every lift and escalator is different and our approach is to develop a scope of work that reflects the requirements of the customer and fits within budgetary constraints.  In our experience most owners are constrained by tight budgets when modernising existing equipment. Our objective is to develop a scope of work that improves reliability and provides long term benefits to the owner by reducing ongoing maintenance costs.

Lift Logic can provide a full service from initial inspection of the lifts or escalators to signing off at the completion of the twelve month defect liability period. Alternatively we can tailor our services to undertake parts of the modernisation process and leave the routine areas up to building management while remaining available in a support roll should difficulties arise.

Every lift, escalator and owner is different. The way that lift and escalator maintenance is delivered is significantly different than 20 years ago. Maintenance contractors have reduced prices due to competition. To maintain margin they have increased the intervals between maintenance visits and are continually vigilant for the opportunity to charge for additional services not included in the maintenance contract.

Lift Logic can oversee the maintenance process and ensure that what is promised by the maintenance contractor is delivered. Our service includes an annual inspection, review of all charges for veracity, maintenance of a site log book and regular site visits to ensure that the maintenance contractor is aware that monitoring is a continuous process, not a one off inspection that can be forgotten with the passage of time.

As a licensed Electrical Contractor, Lift Logic can access switchboards without the need for outside electrical assistance. Thermographic or infrared inspections of electrical switchboards and installations is an excellent preventative maintenance tool when used correctly and under the correct conditions.

Thermographic inspections are not simply a process of buying an infrared camera and taking pictures. There needs to be an understanding of a number of factors such as radiation and emissivity. A fundamental mistake is taking images of switchboards or circuits not under load. Without energy flow, there will be no heat and a poor connection will not show up.

Lift Logic uses a FLIR camera with Bluetooth connection to a current meter. Images can include current readings as a further aid to fault analysis.

Lift Logic developed special purpose battery backup emergency power supplies to solve a problem for Queensland Rail. Commercially available UPS equipment was not suitable for lift use under these unique operating conditions and were constantly failing.

Lift Logic’s auxiliary power supplies have been in use on lifts for over seven years without failure. The unit utilises high quality components and the batteries have a design life of ten years. The higher purchase price was soon offset against the cost of replacing or repairing commercial UPS units.

The extensive research and testing necessary to prove the suitability of the backup power supplies for Queensland Rail developed expertise in off grid power systems.

Not all batteries are created equal. Some may look nicer than another, but when it comes to batteries, beauty is truly below the skin. It is the quality of the chemical cocktail and metals behind the outside shell that makes a battery, not the name on the case or promotional material.

Lift Logic only uses reputable well known brands such as Lifeline, Remco and Deka that are backed up by local support.

Lift Logic can supply and fit batteries to all types of off grid power supplies from RV applications to large domestic or commercial solar applications. Batteries are only supplied on a supply and fit basis to determine if the charging and discharging process is correct to ensure that our customers get maximum life out of the battery and are not disappointed by premature battery failure.
